Welcome to my site! Thank you for visiting. The primary purpose of this site is to share our knowledge about Active 21st century living for the over 40’s. As an Olympian who hung up his competition shoes in 1992, I have allowed my once finely tuned physic and health to slip into a less than tip top state more suited to a pen pusher passively sitting behind a desk. So now I am on a new journey to breath new life into the demanding lifestyle that I still lead.
Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy good health but feel the need to cherish my over 40’s fitness and well being. In my 40’s I began to realise that unless I intentionally took a more proactive approach to my lifestyle then not only do I make myself more vulnerable to the effects of disease but I also cannot maintain “the spark” of mental and emotional wellbeing required for full and active living.
You may be a lot like me looking for effective ways of developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. If so then this site is not a bad place to move forward in your journey to that more healthier, happier you… adding a little extra sparkle to your own life as well as to the lives of friends and love ones too.
It’s easy to dream about getting into better shape, but many people think that it’s just too much hassle to achieve over 40’s fitness. If you we want to be more active keep in mind that educating yourself on fitness and welbeing techniques is the best way to start reaching for that goal. If you are making up excuses for why you are not exercising, make a set schedule and make time for it. You will then realize it was just an excuse. Do not lie to yourself. Find a way to remain motivated and focused on your goals.
